philjay Posted November 3, 2013 Share Posted November 3, 2013 Yep, I know its a nasty reflector but its a darned sight more refractorish than the 8" newt which its replacing. The newt was a bosting scope with great optics but i just could not get used to it on an eq mount, weird. The mak is also a more manageable alternative to the 6" f10 Istar refractor I was thinking of earlier this year. oh and your right Martyn, i have regretted selling my little mak 127 the other year, great scopes those Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am only using triple filtered, double distilled water as I have been assured that it will definitely not leave water marks on the primary when it's evaporated.
